Carey Mulligan to Reteam with Writer Abi Morgan for The Fury

null

Carey Mulligan is in early talks to join director Sarah Gavron’s The Fury, written by Abi Morgan. The film will focus on the suffragette movement in the UK.

This is the second time that Mulligan and Morgan have worked together—she wrote 2011’s Shame–which Mulligan starred in alongside Michael Fassbender. It’s also a reunion for Morgan and Gavron who directed Brick Lane in 2007. Ruby Films (which just produced the upcoming Saving Mr. Banks) Faye Ward and Alison Owen will produce.

Next up for Mulligan is The Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis which opens in the Fall. Morgan’s latest script–The Invisible Woman stars Felicity Jones and Ralph Fiennes– is about the woman who was Charles Dickens’ secret lover until he died. The film will be premiering at the Toronto Film Festival in September.
