Cate Blanchett, Kerry Washington, Rose Byrne, Eva Longoria, and Frozen director Jennifer Lee are the five honorees of this year’s Crystal + Lucy Awards. Organized by Women in Film — Los Angeles, the annual event recognizes “exemplary women in the entertainment industry.”
Blanchett will receive the Crystal Award for her extensive and distinguished filmography. Washington will accept the Lucy Award, named after Lucille Ball, for her career achievements on the small screen. Byrne, next seen in the upcoming comedy Neighbors, will collect WIF’s Max Mara “Face of the Future” award.
Longoria will be presented with the Norma Zarky Humanitarian Award for her work as the founder of The Eva Longoria Foundation, which supports the education and entrepreneurship of Latinas, and as the co-founder of Eva’s Heroes, which enriches the lives of teenagers with developmental disabilities. Lee will receive the Dorothy Arzner Directors Award for co-helming Frozen, the first billion-dollar movie with a female filmmaker.
The event will be held on June 11 in LA.
