ABC is taking on the bullshit mothers so often face in the workplace. According to Deadline, the network has given a put pilot commitment to Christine Pietrosh and Jessica Goldstein’s “Family Friendly,” a comedy that sees three working mothers join forces “to survive an office that, despite its wholesome public image, is not quite ‘family friendly.'”
Pietrosh and Goldstein wrote the project and serve as exec producers. Jason Winer (“Life In Pieces”) will direct and EP via his Small Dog Picture Company.
ABC nabbed “Family Friendly” in what Deadline describes as “a competitive situation,” so it seems the project is a hot commodity.
Pietrosh and Goldstein created the Eva Longoria-starring telenovela spoof “Telenovela” with Robert Harling. The duo also wrote for and exec produced the dearly departed “Great News,” “Cougar Town,” and “My Name Is Earl,” among other TV projects.
