We are so glad that the election is over and that Obama was re-elected. We will also have a record amount of female Senators — 20. That’s almost critical mass.
Mazie Hirono (HI) will be the first Asian American female Senator. Tammy Baldwin (WI) is the first lesbian Senator and Elizabeth Warren is the first female Senator from MA. I can’t wait to see whose as she kicks first.
Both rape apologists running for the Senate got defeated, and an amputee Iraq vet Tammy Duckworth got elected to the House in IL.
And New Hampshire has a full female Congressional team- two Seantors and two House members.
Sanity has returned.
And we’ve already started dreaming about the next one.
