Comic-Con: Veronica Mars Trailer

nullOut of Comic-Con is the first footage from the anticipated Veronica Mars movie. In March, creator Rob Thomas launched a Kickstarter fund requesting $2 million to make a film version of the critically acclaimed CW show about a teen private investigator (Kristen Bell) that had been canceled in 2007. Ideas for a movie had been rumored for years after the cancellation but funding for the project never came together from Warner Brothers that had the rights.

However, when the Veronica Mars Kickstarter made its goal (ending up with $5.7 million in total) within one day, it proved how much the fans wanted this project. The trailer below certainly won’t disappoint fans with behind the scenes interviews with the cast and brand new footage (at the 3 minute mark) with Veronica’s signature one-liners, fan favorites like Logan, Mac and Dick Casablancas and new faces like Jamie Lee-Curtis.

Veronica Mars is slated to hit theaters in 2014.
