DGA Women’s Steering Committee to Celebrate 35th Anniversary on September 20

Since its founding in 1979, the DGA’s Women’s Steering Committee has called attention to the limited opportunities female filmmakers faced — and continue to face — in the film industry.

The WSC will pay tribute to pioneering women directors Patty Jenkins, Mimi Leder, and Betty Thomas and honor its founding members — Susan Bay, Nell Cox, Joelle Dobrow, Lynne Littman, Victoria Hochberg, and Dolores Ferraro — during its 35th annivesary celebration at DGA headquarters in Los Angeles on September 20.

The event is on September 20 at 7:30 pm and will be held at the Directors Guild of America, 7920 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles and will be moderated by former DGA President Martha Coolidge.

The event is open to the public and you can RSVP here: (310) 289–2034 or spevents@dga.org
