Susanne Bier and Carol Morley are helming some new and exciting projects — both of which include cast members from HBO’s Game of Thrones.
Morley will be directing The Falling, which she also wrote, starring Maisie Williams. Williams will play a troubled girl at a British all-girls school in 1969 that becomes the center of a fainting epidemic. The cause of the epidemic is unknown and Williams’ character is determined to find out what’s going on. The film will co-star Florence Pugh, Monica Dolan, Greta Scacchi and Maxine Peak.
And Bier will be teaming back up with her In A Better World scribe, Anders Thomas Jensen, for A Second Chance. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will star as a man questioning how far he is willing to go in the face of tragedy when it blurs between what is moral and what isn’t. Bier has been a directing powerhouse as of late. Her last film was Love is All You Need.
She directed the upcoming Serena starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. She’s also set to direct a Mary Queen of Scots adaptation starring Saoirse Ronan and The Rules of Inheritance which will reteam Bier and Lawrence.
