Now that “Downton Abbey” has announced that its upcoming sixth season will be its last, Michelle Dockery is seeking new leading roles.
The erstwhile Mary Crawley has landed a TNT drama called “Good Behavior,” which has received a pilot order from the network. Based on the Letty Dobesh novels by Blake Crouch, the series will feature the patrician actress going against type by playing a con artist newly released from prison “whose life is always one wrong turn and bad decision from implosions — just how she likes it.” When Dockery’s Letty overhears a plot between a hitman and a client to kill the latter’s wife, she steps in to foil the hired gun — then entangles herself in a relationship with him.
Season 6 of “Downton Abbey” will debut early next year and will be followed by its annual Christmas special.
