Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette Are Best Friends in Catherine Hardwicke’s ‘Miss You Already’

Drew Barrymore replaces Rachel Weisz as Toni Collette’s best friend in Catherine Hardwicke’s upcoming dramedy Miss You Already.

Morwenna Banks’ script finds two lifelong friends being pulled in different directions when one becomes pregnant and the other falls ill.

Hardwicke previously commented, “When I met Morwenna Banks and read her script, I really felt her passion for this story. This is something she lived through. She managed to take real life and turn it into a powerful, laugh- and cry-out-loud screenplay.”

Barrymore hasn’t made too many appearances on the big screen recently, but her on-screen friendship with Wendi McLendon-Covey (Bridesmaids) was the only good thing about the Charlie’s Angels actress’s last film, the Adam Sandler rom-com Blended.
