Exclusive: Rosamund Pike Defends Marie Curie’s Brilliance in “Radioactive” Clip

"Radioactive"

“How dare you take my brilliance. How dare you take their applause,” says Rosamund Pike in our exclusive clip of Marjane Satrapi’s “Radioactive.” The biopic sees the Oscar-nominated “Gone Girl” actress playing Marie Curie, a physicist and chemist who made history as the only person to win the Nobel Prize in two different scientific fields.

The footage shows Curie accusing Pierre Curie, her husband and collaborator, of taking too much of the credit for their shared work. The scientific community is minimizing her contributions — and she believes he’s letting them get away with this rampant sexism because it’s benefiting him.

“Radioactive” is now available on Prime Video in the U.S.
