Earlier this year, FX announced the 13 episode pick up of Meredith Stiehm’s The Bridge, an adaptation of Bron about the Denmark/Sweden border.
Steihm’s adaptation focuses on the U.S./Mexico border and on detectives Sonya Cross (Diane Kruger) and Marco Ruiz (Demian Bichir) who team up to track a serial killer who is operating on both sides of the border amidst a border overran by the drug cartel.
Steihm previously worked on Homeland and created Cold Case. Judging from the unbelievably tense trailer, her talents will be more than showcased on this show.
The Bridge premieres on July 10th at 10:00pm on FX.
