Forbes announced their 14th annual Celebrity 100 list which looks at the earnings of American celebrities from June 2012 – June 2013. The list is compiled by analyzing projects and contracts that the celebrity earned during that period.
They’ve created a separate list of the highest paid TV actresses. For these women the reality is that they don’t make their money by acting, they make their money by endorsing and promoting.
For the second year in a row, Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara is the top earning actress on television with $30 million dollars, much due to her crossover appeal in both the English and Spanish language markets. Vergara has a ton of endorsement deals including Diet Pepsi and Cover girl and has her own fashion and home line at K-Mart.
Vergara’s endorsements make her close to double than number two on the list, Kaley Cuoco, who earns about $300,000 per episode of the hit sitcom, The Big Bang Theory. She also has deals with Toyota and Priceline. Ellen Pompeo of Grey’s Anatomy has no endorsement deals. She makes her money, all $10 million of it, from the show. We are also seriously blown away by the amount of money reality stars make.
Here are the women who are the top earners on television.
