Gail Berman Signs First-Look Deal With Fox 2000

Gail Berman has become one of a handful of producers to sign first-look deals with Fox, joining the likes of James Cameron, Paul Feig, Ridley Scott, and Ben Stiller. Berman’s Jackal Group will give Fox 2000 the right of first negotiation on any feature-film deals.

The Jackal Group also signed an agreement with Fox’s TV division seven months ago to develop television and digital projects.

One of the highest-profile execs in entertainment, Berman was the first woman to head a major film studio (Paramount) and a TV network (Fox). Jack’s upcoming projects include biopics of Olympian Jesse Owens and Elvis Presley, as well as an animated “Addams Family” reboot.
