Actress Gillian Anderson (“The Fall,” “The X-Files”) and journalist Jennifer Nadel will co-write a “revolutionary self-help guide” for women.
Titled “WE,” the book will focus on the spiritual, emotional and psychological needs of women. It will aim to provide “a path to inner freedom and happiness, which in turn will have the power to change the world in which we all live.”
Anderson described the project as a “call-out to all women around the world — and by women I include girls, transgender, anyone who identifies themselves as being intrinsically female… that we need to stick together and stand up for each other and not compete against each other.”
Anderson previously co-penned the sci-fi novel “A Vision of Fire” with Jeff Rovin, which was published last year. Nadel is the author of the biography “Sara Thornton: The Story of a Woman Who Killed,” about a British domestic-abuse victim who was sentenced to life imprisonment after murdering her husband.
The publishing firm Atria is planning a release date of March 8, 2016, for “WE” to coincide with International Women’s Day.
