“Ginny & Georgia” Renewed for Second Season at Netflix

"Ginny & Georgia"

“Ginny & Georgia’s” journey is just getting started. Netflix has renewed the mother-daughter drama for a second season and revealed that 52 million member households watched the series in its first 28 days on the streamer, a press release announced.

From showrunner Debra J. Fisher and creator Sarah Lampert, “Ginny & Georgia” follows 15-year-old Ginny (Antonia Gentry, “Candy Jar”) and her young mother, 30-year-old Georgia (Brianne Howey, “Dollface”), as they put down roots in New England after years of moving around and trying to outrun the latter’s secret past.

The coming-of-age series made “the Top 10 list in 87 countries around the world and hit #1 in 46, including Australia, Brazil, Kenya, and the U.S.,” Netflix detailed.

The new season will consist of 10 episodes.

“We are so appreciative of the incredible response and love you all have shown ‘Ginny & Georgia.’ We’re especially grateful to Brianne and Toni, who set the highest bar every step of the way. We can’t wait to return to Wellsbury for Season 2,” said Fisher and Lampert.
