Great Movie Title: The Kicking Queen

The NY Times has a great story about high school senior Brianna Amat from Pinckney Community High School in Michigan.

This would be a great movie (probably a TV movie like on Lifetime) because it has something for everyone. A sporty girl who kicks a winning field goal, and a confident young woman who while alone in the girls locker room at halftime gets called back to the field to get crowned the homecoming queen. Then she goes right back into sports mode and kicks the winning field goal in the second half.

And not only is she on the football team- she’s the first girl to make the team, and she’s also a star soccer player, as well as an amazing student with a 4.0 average. The homecoming crown is probably the thing that got her in the NY Times, but still what an awesome example for other girls to see. Read the piece.

It will keep a smile on my face all day.
