Halle Berry’s Production Company Gets Pilot Deal

With two episodes left in the debut season of her CBS sci-fi mystery series Extant, Halle Berry has signaling that she is taking another step in making television her new medium.

Berry’s production company has announced a pilot deal, again with CBS. Berry and House executive producer Katie Jacobs have sold a medical drama centering on a surgeon who locks himself into a prison hospital.

Berry, Jacobs, and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas will EP with Larry Kaplow (House, Law & Order: SVP).

As for Extant’s renewal odds, everything is still up in the air. (Because astronauts, get it?)
