There’s plenty of fight left in “Hanna.” Less than two weeks after its debut on Amazon Prime Video, the survival thriller has been renewed for Season 2. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news.

Based on the 2011 Saoirse Ronan-starrer of the same name, the TV version of “Hanna” sees Esmé Creed-Miles (“Dark River”) taking on the titular role. Raised by her father (Joel Kinnaman, “Altered Carbon”) in total seclusion in the remote woods of Europe, 15-year-old Hanna’s life changes overnight when she’s separated from her father. She embarks on an action-packed mission to find him and evade a rogue CIA operative intent on tracking them both down (Mireille Enos, “The Catch”).

“We knew we had something unique with ‘Hanna,’ and with the added momentum from its special post-Super Bowl preview, Amazon Prime Video customers worldwide agreed,” said Albert Cheng, Amazon Studios co-head of television. “Since it debuted… ‘Hanna’ has had a tremendous response, and we’re thrilled with not only how it has performed for us on the service, but with the action-packed world [writer and executive producer] David Farr has created for the series and the stellar cast, led by Esme Creed-Miles, Mireille Enos, and Joel Kinnaman. We’re excited to give fans a chance to see Hanna continue her journey on Amazon.”
