Happy Friday: Watch Emma Watson Beatbox For Gender Equality

Emma Watson continues to work her magic. The “Harry Potter” alum plans to take a year off from acting but she’s making amazing use of her time away from Hollywood: The UN Women Goodwill Ambassador and upcoming star of the live-action “Beauty and the Beast” will focus on her feminist activism.

We just never expected that feminist activism to take the form of beatboxing — consider us pleasantly surprised.

Watson interviewed “Hamilton” creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda for HeForShe, her UN gender equality initiative.

When she asked Miranda to freestyle, he insisted that she accompany him. The inexperienced beatboxer obliged, and the rest is delightful history. Before the the music got started, Watson asked the Broadway sensation if he considers himself a feminist. “Absolutely,” he confirmed, before rapping about equal pay.
