“Happy Valley” Returning for a Third Season

“Happy Valley”

Viewers don’t have to say goodbye to Sergeant Catherine Cawood and “Happy Valley” just yet. Despite previous comments that suggested otherwise, the award-winning BBC One police drama will return for a third season.

The show’s creator, Sally Wainwright, announced the news at the Edinburgh Television Festival, Female First reports. While she warned that “it will be a little while” before we’ll be seeing the third installment of the show, Wainwright confirmed that it “will happen.” “I have got some good ideas,” she added.

A four-part series from Red Production Co., the production company behind “Happy Valley,” is in the works at BBC. “Trust Me” will center on a nurse who is fired after acting as a whistleblower.

You can catch the first two seasons of “Happy Valley” on Netflix.
