Camille, Tye, Quinn, and Angie will continue to make their marks on Black mecca. “Harlem,” a comedy about four long-time friends pursuing their personal and professional dreams, has been renewed for a second season by Amazon Studios. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news.
From “Girls Trip” scribe Tracy Oliver, “Harlem” follows an anthropology professor (Meagan Good), queer dating app creator (Jerrie Johnson), fashion designer (Grace Byers), and aspiring singer (Shoniquia Shandai).
“When I walked into a bar in Harlem and overheard folks excitedly discussing the show, I knew we had a hit,” said Oliver. “’Harlem’ has resonated with so many people, and I’m beyond grateful to Amazon for giving it a second season. Most of all, I’m excited to reunite with the beautiful cast.”

An NAACP Award winner and GLAAD Award nominee, “Harlem” launched in December.
Oliver inked an eight-figure overall deal at Apple last year. The “Sun Is Also a Star” screenwriter created “First Wives Club,” a comedy series based on the 1996 pic of the same name that’s been renewed for a third season by BET+.
