HBO is developing another project based on a podcast. The premium cable network has already taken Jessica Williams and Phoebe Robinson’s “2 Dope Queens” to the screen, and now it’s prepping a half-hour comedy series inspired by Colleen Scriven’s “Lesser Gods” podcast. Variety broke the news.

Set in a future where men and women are no longer able to reproduce, the series centers on “the five youngest people on Earth [as they] indulge in parties, affairs, rivalries, and fame while contending with the struggle to save the species.”

Scriven is no stranger to the TV biz. She’s currently serving as the writer’s assistant on “Utopia,” “Gone Girl” author and screenwriter Gillian Flynn’s upcoming Amazon series. According to the source, she’s also been part of the support staff for “The Affair” and “Z Nation.”

In addition to writing “Lesser Gods,” Scriven will also exec produce.
