Hilary Swank will be presented with Variety‘s Creative Impact in Acting Award at the Hamptons Film Festival (October 9–13) this fall. The two-time Oscar winner will also participate in a master class discussion at the festival.
Swank will be seen this Oscar season in the ALS drama You’re Not You and the feminist Western The Homesman, the latter of which will be showcased in the festival’s centerpiece screening.
The Hamptons Film Festival will also feature the works from several women directors, including the US premiere of Melanie Laurent’s Breathe, the East Coast premiere of Ronit Elkabetz and Shlomi Elkabetz’s Gett: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem, the NY premiere of Sara Colangelo’s Little Accidents, the NY premiere of Margaret Brown’s The Great Invisible, and the US premiere of Tamara Erde’s This is My Land.
Descriptions of those films can be found on the festival’s site.
