Hollywood Turd of the Day: Michael Eisner

Michael Eisner, formerly of Disney, formerly of CAA, currently irrelevant, decided to do what so many men in Hollywood do — stick his foot in his mouth. He knew he was going to get in trouble before he spoke, because he actually said that he was going to get in trouble, but since it seems his brain and his mouth are not connected he decided to utter the following:

“From my position, the hardest artist to find is a beautiful, funny woman. By far. They usually — boy am I going to get in trouble, I know this goes online — but usually, unbelievably beautiful women, you being an exception, are not funny.”

And yes, he said that sitting next to one of the funniest women on the planet — Goldie Hawn.

Ha ha ha, she’s funny, but no one else is. Let’s ignore the countless hilarious and stunning female costars she’s worked with throughout the years.

Here’s what I find funny — the fact that the shit that gets men into trouble is always about being misogynists, and the thing that gets women into trouble is calling men out for their misogyny.

No matter how far we think we have come, this is just a reminder that there is still a deep-seated hatred of women that runs like a river through Hollywood.
