Hollywood’s Top Earners

It’s time for Vanity Fair’s annual Hollywood issue and the cover always stirs controversy. This year they seem to have airbrushed in Robert Duvall, forgot to dress Olivia MunnWilde (I am wondering what went through her mind when she saw that her dress had um, no material and most of the other women actually had clothes on), put Noomi Rapace in the only colorful dress (is it because she is not from the US?), and solidified Anne Hathaway as the leading young woman in Hollywood.

But let’s just remember that she hasn’t had been a sole LEAD in a movie since 2007 with Becoming Jane. So now is the time for her to take this new found star power to the next level, ditch the crappy romantic comedies and find a script that she can star in like The Devil Wears Prada. Cause if she ain’t getting a crack at the decent scripts with female leads no one is.

The magazine took a look at the people who earn money directly from the movies they make — the stars, directors and producers. Not surprisingly, there are no women in the top 10 and the first woman on the list is Kristen Stewart at 13. (And if anyone wants to write off the Twilight franchise, those kids are making some serious money, and Taylor Lautner has gone from no one to big earner. He comes in at number 9) The top earner was James Cameron, who is still raking in the bucks for Avatar.
