Hulu Lands U.S. Rights to Daisy May Cooper’s BBC Hit “Am I Being Unreasonable?”

"Am I Being Unreasonable?"

“Am I Being Unreasonable?” is heading stateside thanks to Hulu. The streamer acquired U.S. rights to the BBC comedy-thriller led by BAFTA TV Award winner Daisy May Cooper. Deadline reports that its six-episode debut season will launch as a Hulu original April 11.

Written by the “This Country” co-creator and star and Selin Hizli (“Mum”), the series follows Nic (Cooper), “a mother grieving a loss that she can’t share with anyone whilst stuck in a depressing marriage. Only her son, Ollie (Lenny Rush, ‘Apple Tree House’), keeps her going. But when Jen (Hizli) arrives in town, her life is lit up with laughter and, through this kindred soul, her secret starts to bubble up,” the source summarizes.

“Am I Being Unreasonable?” has been recommissioned for a second season on BBC.

Cooper’s other acting credits include “Avenue 5” and “The Personal History of David Copperfield.”
