With credits spanning over 30 years and four Oscar nominations under her belt, production designer Jeannine Oppewall has been named as the recipient of the Art Directors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award. She’ll receive the honor at the guild’s upcoming 23rd annual ADG Awards ceremony, Deadline confirms.
After launching her career with 1983’s “Tender Mercies,” Oppewall went on to receive Oscar nods for “L.A. Confidential,” “Pleasantville,” “Seabiscuit,” and “The Good Shepherd.” “Wonder Boys,” “Snow Falling on Cedars,” and “Catch Me if You Can” are among her other credits.
“Jeannine is one of our most treasured Production Designers whose 40-year career continues to flourish, right up to the current ‘Best of Enemies,’” said Nelson Coates, president of the ADG. “She is a most deserving recipient of our Lifetime Achievement Award.
