Jessica Jones Renewed for a Third Season

“Jessica Jones”

We haven’t seen the last of Jessica Jones. The sardonic heroine will be returning for a third run on Netflix. The streaming giant announced the news one month after “Jessica Jones’” second season debuted on International Women’s Day, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.

The noir-inspired series stars Krysten Ritter as a hard-drinking PI with super powers. Season 1 of the critically acclaimed Marvel show saw Jessica dealing with PTSD and confronting Kilgrave, her abuser. The show’s second season — which was directed exclusively by women — focused on Jessica’s reluctant journey into her past and the family tragedy that changed her life.

Melissa Rosenberg (“Twilight”) created “Jessica Jones.” No word on when Season 3 will premiere.
