“Jessica Jones” Season 2 Gets Pulp Art from Female Artists, Writers and Directors Announced

We’re just days away from the release of “Jessica Jones’” sophomore season. The latest chapter in the Krysten Ritter-led superhero drama drops on March 8, and Netflix has unveiled some beautiful art and details about the eps in anticipation of its return. With Jessica’s day job as a PI, it’s only fitting that the promotional material uses pulp art to celebrate new episodes of the critically acclaimed series.

All 13 eps of “Jessica Jones” Season 2 are directed by women, and all 13 pulp art covers for the eps are by female artists. Each piece includes the name of the episode’s writer(s) and director, and the artist who illustrated the cover.

Season 1 of the Marvel series saw Jessica dealing with PTSD and confronting Kilgrave, her abuser. This time around, a “new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why,” according to Netflix.

Returning cast members include Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Eka Darville.

Neasa Hardiman (“Happy Valley”), Deborah Chow (“Mr. Robot”), and Rosemary Rodriguez (“The Good Wife) are among Season 2’s directors.

You can see an example of the pulp art below. Head over to “Jessica Jones’” Facebook page to check out the rest.
