Julianne Moore to Team Up Again With Director Todd Haynes for ‘Wonderstruck’

Julianne Moore has signed on to “Wonderstruck,” director Todd Haynes’ follow-up to “Carol.”

Their previous collaboration, “Far From Heaven,” resulted in Oscar nods for the actress and Haynes’ screenplay.

Based on Brian Selznick’s illustrated book, “Wonderstruck” tells the interconnected tales of two deaf kids — one in 1927, the other in 1977 — who run away from home to New York City and whose fates are tied together by a mystery.

The film adaptation will be produced by Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler’s Killer Films, which also oversaw “Carol.”

Both “Carol” and Moore’s “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2” will be released on November 20.
