As we had recently reported, a trial date had been set for May between Taymor and Michael Cohl and Jeremiah Harris, producers of the musical Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark. This had been after months of being unable to agree to a settlement. However, this morning we have learned that Taymor and the producers have reached a settlement.
While the details of the settlement have not been disclosed, both Taymor and the producers are pleased that this is finally over and they have reached an agreement. As Taymor stated:
I’m pleased to have reached an agreement and hope for the continued success of Spider-Man, both on Broadway and beyond.
The settlement resolves all of Taymor’s claims against Cohl and Harris. Hopefully the settlement includes money for Taymor both on Broadway and beyond.
