Former Earth scientist and BBC journalist Kat Wood has another feature in the works. The screenwriter sold Jason Bourne-style action pitch “Diplomatic Courier” to Skydance in a “competitive situation,” Deadline reports.

The story centers on “highly trained government messengers with diplomatic immunity who travel the world delivering highly confidential packages and materials,” per the source.

Wood has two projects in the works with “Ghostbusters” producer Amy Pascal, “Envoy” and “Genus,” both of which are sci-fi stories. The former centers on a military intelligence specialist who volunteers to be the first-ever human representative to alien life, and the latter follows a scientist who accidentally brings back a prehistoric form of human species.

Wood co-wrote 2015 fantasy “Arthur & Merlin.” Also a director, she helmed shorts “Stine,” “Home,” and “Tall Tale.”
