Paramount Pictures has snagged “Party Girls,” an original film pitch from”Legally Blonde” screenwriters Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith and Karen McCullah. Deadline confirmed the news. The women-driven ensemble comedy centers on “a group of party girls from the Studio 54 era who reunite in the present day, now in their 70s, to continue the party.”

“Isn’t It Romantic” producer Todd Garner will produce the project. No word on a director.

Smith and McCullah collaborated on the scripts for “10 Things I Hate About You,” “Ella Enchanted,” “The House Bunny,” and “She’s the Man,” among other titles. The pair also penned “Legally Blonde 3,” which is due out next year.

Smith co-created the upcoming Netflix series “Trinkets,” based on her YA novel. Brianna Hildebrand, Kiana Madeira, and Quintessa Swindell star in the series about teen shoplifters.

McCullah wrote 2013’s “Crazy Kind of Love.” She also revised the screenplay for Eva Jin’s buddy comedy about alpha females, “Twin Blades.”
