Kristen Bell to Topline and Exec Produce “The Woman in the House” for Netflix

Bell in "The Good Place": Colleen Hayes/NBC

Kristen Bell has left “The Good Place” and is nursing a broken heart. Deadline reports that she’s set to exec produce and star in “The Woman in the House,” an eight-episode Netflix series about Anna, “a heartbroken [woman] , for whom, every day is the same. She sits with her wine, staring out the window, watching life go by without her.”

Anna’s life changes when “a handsome neighbor moves in across the street, [and she] starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel. That is until she witnesses a gruesome murder… Or did she?” the source teases.

“Nobodies” creators Rachel Ramras, Hugh Davidson, and Larry Dorf created the darkly comic thriller and will serve as co-showrunners.

Bell received a Golden Globe nod for her starring role as Eleanor in “The Good Place.” The NBC afterlife comedy concluded its four-season run earlier this year. “Frozen 2” and Hulu’s reboot of “Veronica Mars” are among her other recent credits.
