Women and Hollywood recently had the chance to talk with director Meera Menon about her trailblazing new film. “Equity” tells the story of the women of Wall Street — the powerful female forces working in a male-dominated industry. The financial thriller stars Anna Gunn (“Breaking Bad”) as Naomi Bishop, an investment banker.
We asked Menon how she got involved in the project, the follow-up to her 2013 directorial debut “Farah Goes Bang.” Menon shared insight about how she got agents out of Sundance, and discussed how she’s trying to take her career to the next level.
