Listen: Podcast with President of HBO Documentary Films Sheila Nevins

Sheila Nevins: MAKERS/YouTube

Sheila Nevins has won dozens of Emmy Awards. When the powerhouse exec offers insight and advice, you’ll want to listen. We can all benefit from Nevin’s wisdom thanks to the release of her new book, “You Don’t Look Your Age and Other Fairy Tales.” It’s part memoir, part poetry book, and 100 percent honest.

I spoke with Nevins about the book, and why the audio version of it is so important. We also discussed her conversion to feminism and her thoughts on the documentary business. Nevins is the President of HBO Documentary Films. Her recent producing credits include “Abortion: Stories Women Tell,” “Unlocking the Cage,” and “Citizenfour.”

“You Don’t Look Your Age and Other Fairy Tales” is in stores now. You can buy it online here.
