Liz Garcia Sets Her Second Feature Film

Liz Garcia with Kristen Bell: YouTube

Liz Garcia is set to direct her second feature film. According to The Tracking Board, Garcia will write and direct “One Percent More Humid.”

Garcia will produce through her La Pistola, Inc. along with Red Productions. Juno Temple (“Vinyl”) and Julia Garner (“The Americans”) are set to star.

The story follows Iris (Temple) and Catherine (Garner), “college-age childhood friends who reunite for a humid New England summer to help each other cope with the unimaginable — a friend has died in a car accident, an accident which they both survived.” Garcia’s spec script was on the 2005 Black List.

Garcia has had a long career writing for television, having written for shows like “Dawson’s Creek” and “Cold Case.” Her feature directorial debut came in 2013, when she directed Kristen Bell in “The Lifeguard.” Garcia, TTB notes, is also the executive producer and showrunner on the currently in-development series “The Big Kahuna.”
