Liz Hannah is adding director to her rapidly expanding résumé. “The Post” co-writer is set to helm an adaptation of “Under Another Name,” Alexandra Andrews’ upcoming suspense novel. Deadline broke the news.

Described as a “timely psychological thriller about ambition” and slated for publication in March 2021, “Under Another Name” tells the story of Florence, a woman from a small town determined to become an acclaimed writer. She becomes an assistant to a hugely successful author who keeps their identity anonymous. While on a research trip to Morocco with her boss, “Florence wakes up in a hospital, having narrowly survived a car crash. Either her world has just fallen apart, or she now has the greatest ever opportunity to live the life she believes pre-ordained for her,” the book’s synopsis hints.

Currently serving as executive producer on Kate McKinnon-starrer “The Dropout,” an upcoming Hulu limited series inspired by Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos, Hannah also served as writer-producer on Season 2 of Netflix’s psychological thriller “Mindhunter.” She was nominated for a WGA Award for the latter.

Hannah launched her career with “The Post,” an Oscar-nominated 2017 drama inspired by the Washington Post‘s role in making the Pentagon Papers public. She won the WGA Paul Selvin Award and was nominated for a Golden Globe for co-penning the script. Hannah also co-wrote the screenplay for “All the Bright Places,” a newly released Netflix romance based on Jennifer Niven’s hit YA novel of the same name. Elle Fanning stars.
