Meryl Streep along with several other esteemed artists including Yo Yo Ma, Barbara Cook, Neil Diamond and Sonny Rollins were honored at the 34th Kennedy Center honors on Sunday evening.
The ceremony will air on December 27.
Streep spent some time in DC last week screening The Iron Lady for DC politicos, and was able to get an audience with 12 of the 17 female Senators.
