Multiple projects are in the works surrounding the life of singer Jenni Rivera, according the Deadline.
Television projects and a film based on the life of the late Mexican-American singer have been planned. As Deadline details, “The projects are in early development and details will be announced later, but they include a music-based TV series focused on the lives and stories of the Rivera family as a musical dynasty.”
Rivera was one of the most successful Mexican musicians of all time, selling more than 20 million records over the course of a 20-year career. She was tragically killed in a plane crash in northern Mexico in 2012. The crash occurred in the middle of filming the third season of her docu-reality series “I Love Jenni.” At the time, she also had a sitcom in the works at ABC.
