NBC has ordered a pilot pickup from “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Family,” and “Scandal,” writer and producer Jenna Bans, THR reports.
According to THR, the drama, titled “Good Girls,” “explores what happens when three ‘good girl’ suburban wives and mothers suddenly find themselves in desperate circumstances: They decide to stop playing it safe and risk everything to take their power back.”
Bans recently signed an overall deal with Universal Television, which sees her creating and developing new projects for the studio.
“Jenna Bans was one of the most sought-after writer/producers this development season because of her proven talent. We are thrilled that she chose to set up shop at Universal TV and look forward to a fruitful collaboration with Jenna,” new Universal Television president Pearlena Igbokwe said at the time of the deal.
This marks NBC’s second pilot order for the 2017 television season. The first was Amy Poehler’s “The Baby,” which will star Sean William Scott as the youngest male in an organized crime family made up entirely of women.
