New Trailer Watch: Midnight’s Children – Directed by Deepa Mehta

nullDeepa Mehta’s Midnight’s Children, adapted from Salman Rushdie’s novel, follows two children Saleem and Shiva, who are born just at the moment where India regains its freedom from Britain. The two are switched in the hospital, each leading the life meant for the other while their lives continue to be mysteriously entangled.

The film adapted by Mehta and Rushdie (who also serves as the narrator) will open on April 26 in New York and May 3 in Los Angeles.

Women and Hollywood spoke with director Deepa Mehta at the Toronto Film Festival last fall where the film had its world premiere.
