Pilot Watch: The CW Is Clear Early Winner for Women, NBC and Fox Order No Women Written Shows

nullThis is crunch week in TV land where current shows either get picked up for next season or cancelled and some happy pilot writers get a series pickup.  As of this morning, NBC, Fox and The CW have announced their pickups.

Out of these three networks–only FOUR women-created pilots are on the roster. ONLY FOUR. And they are all at the CW.  So Fox which had a bunch of women written comedies last year including the picked up The Mindy Project, this year it will not have a woman written show on the slate.  NBC which needs some serious help with its slate also it ladyless at this current time.  Boo to both those networks.

We are going to start watching a lot more CW and we are really hoping that CBS and ABC have some better news for us.

Here are the descriptions of the women-created pilots over at The CW (All descriptions courtesy of Deadline).
