Veteran comedy writer Kay Cannon will make her directorial debut with “The Pact.”

Best known for penning the “Pitch Perfect” movies (she’s been tapped the write the trilogy capper as well), the Emmy-nominated Cannon’s TV credits include “30 Rock” and “New Girl.”

“The Pact” will focus on “three parents who, upon discovering that their daughters have made a pact to lose their virginities on prom night, go out and try and stop them before it’s too late,” according to Variety.

The comedy has been brewing since 2012, when it was a spec script (ickily) called “Cherries.” Cannon’s husband, Eben Russell, has been hired for a rewrite.
