After optioning several female-driven books for big-screen adaptation, Reese Witherspoon and her producing partner Bruna Papandrea are looking to develop projects for the small screen.
Witherspoon and Papandrea’s Pacific Standard and ABC Studios have shook hands on a two-year deal. “We are thrilled to be partnering with [ABC exec] Patrick [Moran] and his team at ABC Studios, a company who genuinely share our goal of creating great roles for women,” Witherspoon and Papandrea said.
The actress will next appear in HBO’s adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s “Big Little Lies” alongside Nicole Kidman. “BLL” received a straight-to-series order from the premium cable network.
