Sally Potter is re-teaming with Elle Fanning on her next pic. The “Ginger & Rosa” collaborators are in production on an as-yet untitled feature.

Currently filming in Spain, the drama stars Fanning, Javier Bardem, Salma Hayek, Laura Linney, and Chris Rock. Deadline confirmed the casting. Set to chart “a wild day in the life of a man [Bardem] on the edge, held together by the unconditional love of his daughter [Fanning],” the project will shoot on location in New York in January. Potter penned the script.

Bleecker Street is set to distribute the film in the U.S. Christopher Sheppard is producing via Adventure Pictures.

“It’s such an honor to get to work with a visionary filmmaker like Sally Potter. She has crafted a beautiful and affecting script, and assembled an incredibly diverse and talented cast to bring it to life,” said Bleecker Street CEO Andrew Karpen.

Potter’s most recent film, ensemble comedy “The Party,” premiered at the 2017 Berlinale and hit U.S. theaters in February of this year. “Orlando” and “Yes” are among her previous features.

When we asked Potter her advice for other women directors, she urged, “Keep going! Don’t give up! I think people often underestimate the sheer power of persistence,” she observed. “Don’t retreat. Do not contribute to the erasure of female voices and talent. To keep going really is the key. And strive for excellence because, in the end, what filmmakers want to be known for is not their gender but how bloody good they are, and how extraordinary their work is in contributing to the cultural life and public imagination, so I think that’s it. Keep going, and keep working.”
