After proving she can do drama (“Lost in Translation”), sci-fi (“Under the Skin”), action (“Lucy”) and steal a movie with just her voice (“Her”), Scarlett Johansson is setting out to conquer comedy.
The “Avengers” actress is negotiating to star in “Move That Body,” based on a R-rated Black List script about a bachelorette party that ends in a male stripper’s death. The project would mark “Broad City” writer and helmer Lucia Aniello’s feature directorial debut. Aniello penned the “Move That Body” script with Paul W. Downs. She will also produce.
Johansson will next appear in the Coen brothers’ showbiz comedy “Hail, Caesar!,” the trilogy capper “Captain America: Civil War” and a live-action version of Disney’s “The Jungle Book.”
