Serena Williams is heading to Amazon Studios. The tennis superstar has inked a first-look television deal with the company, which will see her developing scripted and unscripted projects, Variety confirms. The pact’s first project will be a docuseries about Williams’ personal and professional lives, which she is also exec producing.

“I’m very excited to be partnering with Amazon Studios – they are developing some of the most inspiring and important content for a global audience,” the 23-time Grand Slam winner said. “I have a lot of stories I’m eager to tell, including a continuation of my own, and I look forward to sharing those with the world.”

Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke added, “Serena has transformed her sport and become one of the most inspiring athletes, entrepreneurs, and women of her generation, admired not only for her unmatched prowess on the court but for her dedication to advocacy as well. We’re incredibly excited to share her journey in this new series, and to work with her to create new original content for our Prime Video customers worldwide.”

Williams has previously been the subject of projects including PGA Award-winning HBO docuseries “Being Serena” and “Serena vs. The Umpire,” an ESPN doc about Williams’ clash with umpire Carlos Ramos at the 2018 U.S. Open. Four Olympic gold medals and title wins in all four Grand Slam tournaments are among the many accolades she has collected throughout her career.
