Lock up your children — the Sanderson Sisters are back. A newly released teaser for “Hocus Pocus 2” sees the trio of witches, played by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, reuniting and ready to wreak havoc on Salem once again.
“Legend has it, it’s on the 16th birthday that a witch gets her powers,” we’re told. Becca (Whitney Peak, “Gossip Girl”) is celebrating the big day with a scary movie marathon, but she also tries her hand at a spell with a friend (Belissa Escobedo, “American Horror Story”). The highschoolers unwittingly resurrect the Sanderson Sisters, and now it’s up to them to stop the witches and protect their town.
The original “Hocus Pocus” was released in 1993.
Directed by Anne Fletcher (“Dumplin'”) and written by Jen D’Angelo (“Young Rock”), “Hocus Pocus 2” starts streaming September 30 on Disney+.
