Starbuck embarks on another interstellar adventure in “Another Life” — and she’s not happy about it. The upcoming Netflix sci-fi series sees “Battlestar Galactica” alumna Katee Sackhoff playing Niko Breckinridge, a Commander leading a trailblazing mission. “I am not just scared to go back into space,” Niko says in a new teaser for “Another Life.” “I’m scared that this mission is going to fail.”
The spot is sparse on plot details, but an “alien threat” is mentioned, and the show’s official synopsis offers more context: A mysterious alien artifact has landed on Earth, and Niko is tasked with heading humanity’s first trip “to its planet of origin, while her husband (Justin Chatwin) tries to make first contact with the artifact back on earth.”
Described as an exploration of “the miracle of life, how precious life is in a universe mostly empty of it, and the lengths we will go to protect the ones we love,” “Another Life” begins streaming on Netflix July 25.
